Legislative Update

After nearly an hour and a half of debate, House Bill 1214 (Rep. Deb Gardner-D) which required landlords to provide utility costs to applicant tenants before lease signing, DIED in Committee this afternoon at approximately 4:20pm.   The 5-4 vote was party line. Special thanks to all that sent in comments to the bill and to Brandon Rich of Greystar, Mike Papatonakis of Nina Properties and Stephanie Avery of Roundhill Pacific for delivering  great testimony and offering support and commitment to our industry.
